We are looking for a talented, motivated and experienced Technical Animator / Animation Artist for our direct client in Redmond, WA
 
Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates should be comfortable supporting a dynamic and motivated animation team.
Qualified applicants should have a proven track record in creating and supporting high quality animation rigs, processing motion capture data, and providing support to an animation team in a AAA production environment.
 
Required Skills:
·         Successful candidates should be well versed in 3d applications like 3DS Max, Maya or XSI, as well as in-depth knowledge of Motionbuilder.
·         Candidates are expected to be able to make characters deform well in-game, and feel comfortable solving animation problems within the unreal 3 engine.
·         Process and retarget motion capture data in Motionbuilder
·         Create “first pass” animations from motion capture for cycles and vignette animations
·         Add “first pass” hand poses and face poses to animation data
·         Skin character geometry to animation rigs
·         Create in-game physics assets for characters and props
·         Support animation team with tools and troubleshooting
 
Additional Skills:
·         Ability to work well within a team, and meet deadlines.
·         Comfort solving complex problems either alone or within a group.
·         Extensive knowledge of motion capture processing.
·         Experience creating high quality in-game character deformations.
·         Experience working with the unreal 3 engine.
